Dr. Harkavy is the associate vice president and director for the Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania. His research is in the discipline of history. Dr. Harkavy is involved in the West Philadelphia Improvement Corps, which is a 15-year old coalition to develop university-assisted community schools.
